Meet Monk’s Arch-enemy: Review for Prime of Life by P. D. Bekendam

Meet Ben. He is a janitor at Heritage Gardens, a retirement home. But the residents have no idea that Ben used to be a doctor. So why is a cardiac surgeon working as a janitor? Hiding from something in his past of course! What, you may ask. Silly you! I can’t spoil the story, you just have to read it to find out.

Apart from his mysterious past, Ben has a interesting tic. Everything has to be in prime numbers. If you ever seen the show Monk you know that Mr. Monk must have everything even, done in even numbers. The whole time I read this book I kept imagining Ben and Monk in the same room at their wit’s end.

Prime of Life is a truly amusing story that will touch your heart.
